Chap.2:How to connect to the networkHardware Installation

Open the back cover, install the TF card,SIM card and battery (Install in accordance with demand) as the picture shows.    

1.  Startup & Shutdown

Long press the power button for 3 seconds, until the display lights up,then the E8 starts up. As for shutdown, long press the power button until the screen is off.

2.  Search network, establish WIFI connection

Directions: Before establish WiFi connection,you must ensure that the computer is equipped with wireless card .Otherwise, you need to use the wireless network card to connect E8.

Computer (WIN XP) as an example:

1)    After Turned on, E8 displays WiFi (about 30 seconds) and 3G (about 70 seconds) logo..

2)    Select Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Network Connections -> Wireless Network Connection.

3)    Click view of the available wireless network, then it will display a list of wireless network.

4)    Choose the wireless network connection that consistent with the SSID (or modified SSID) of E8.If the password has been set already, please enter the password according to the prompt.

5)    Wait for a moment, wireless network icons will show on the The lower right corner of the computer screen and the router will display the number of connected users.Then,the wireless network connects,people can share the network.

Chap.3:Management platform and simple Settings1.  Login router management platform

1)    After Searching devices and connecting to network as indicated in Chapter 2,follow the Prompts on the back cover of E8,enter 192.168.100.1 in the browser address bar,and then get into the management platform..

2)    Management platform default address:192.168.100.1

3)    Management platform default user name:admin

4)    Management platform default password:admin

2.  How to modify SSID name

Factory default SSID name:3G Wireless Router.Modify the name as follows:

1)    Open E8 management platform site 192.168.100.1,enter the management page.

2)    Go to "Wireless Settings" -> " Basic " -> "Network Name(SSID)", and enter the a new SSID name.(Support 64-bit character, does not support Chinese)

3)    Click "OK" after setup is completed. The device will restart automatically , you need to re-search devices and connect to your new-set SSID.

3.  How to modify the wireless access code

To facilitate your use ,E8 sets the security password 00000000. If you need to change the code, please set as follows:

1)    Open themanagement platform site 192.168.100.1, enter the management page

2)    Click "Net security" ;

3)    Click security model drop-down menu, select the password type(recommend WPA-PSK,WPA2-PSK or WPAWPA2-PSK);

4)    Enter your password

5)    Click OK to save, you need to enter the set password if you want to re-connect to the router.

4.  Restore factory settings 

1)    Make sure the equipment is on

2)    Long press WiFi button until"restore factory settings" -> "restore factory settings successfully" displays on the screen.

3)    Equipment restarts, reset completed.

Chap.4:additional functions1.  Network card functions(Surf the internet with E8 if the computer does not have a wireless card.)

1)    Connect the mini USB interface of data cable to E8 when the device is off(SIM card is necessary);

2)    Connect the standard USB interface to the computer.;

3)    After connection,computer identify devices, and guide to install the card driver.

4)    After installation, click the connect button and the network connects.

2.  How to share a wired network

1)    Turn on the device and connect to the network

2)    Open themanagement platform site 192.168.100.1, enter the management page

3)    Click "WAN settings" ,change the 3G mode into DHCP mode or PPPoE (ADSL) ,then click "OK";

As shown below:

4)    Connect the RJ45 converter into E8

5)    Plug the wired network crystal head into the RJ45 converter;

6)    Press the power button to turn on the device.

7)    Search and connect to the Wifi network, then the network can be shared.

3. How to use the storage function?

1)    Plug the TF card into E8

2)    Connect E8 to computer with data cable;

3)    Click "my computer", you can see "mobile disk" that you can click to store anything.

Chap.5:Notes 1.  Charging Precautions

²      In order to ensure the normal use of the battery, and extend the life of the battery, shutdown the device and remove the battery if there is no need to use it for a long time.

²      If the battery hasn't been used for a long time, please charge before use.

²      You must use the original battery, the use of the battery of other manufacturers or agents may affect the use or even lead to dangerous.   It will Violate the E8 warranty terms and some relevant national provisions on the communication terminal products .In that case our company won’t bear any losses.

2.  Environmental matters

²      Do not use E8 on the relatively sealed environment .After being used for long time the device may become heat as the ambient temperature increases due to the confined space is not conducive to dissipate heat .Please place the device in ventilated area.

²      In order to ensure smooth access to the Internet, it is recommended that place E8 in areas with stronger signal, such as the windows, etc..

Chap.6:Common fault solutions1.  Unable to boot

²      Check if the battery is normal..

2.  Unable to search devices

²      Check if the wireless switch of internet terminals is turned on;

²      Check whether the WiFi signal is displayed;

²      Check whether Internet terminal distance is too long

3.  Connected to devices, but can't surf the Internet

²      Please check whether the screen show 3G instructions or not

²      Please check the signal shows on the screen. If the signal is weak, the network may be broken even if devices are connected.

4.  Helpful hints

If E8 can't work normally, try the following methods:

1)    Check management programs or helpful information of managing the web page.

2)    Restart E8

3)    Restore factory settings.

4)    Consult the operator
